about

“Arpeggio” exists purely as a vehicle for me to practice articulating my thoughts on overcoming mental suffering and moving into real transformation.

As someone who a few years ago found myself at “rock bottom” mentally, I know what it feels like to struggle to see much of a future ahead of you. I’ve now become passionate about exploring exactly what it is that enables humans to endure unimaginable conditions, especially the conditions that are usually fabricated by our own minds.

Running became my turning point. What began as a coping mechanism evolved into an obsession with seeing how far I could push myself, all in tribute to the version of me who once struggled with even the basics of life.

My passion to help others who are struggling mentally breeds a natural curiosity to explore any benefit I might be able to extract from my own experiences. From there my aim is to shape them into something that might help someone to keep going when progress feels out of reach.

why “arpeggio”?

Arpeggio is a musical term for a group of notes that are played one after another, often progressively rising as they unfold.

The metaphor I’m deriving from this definition is that our lives are a series of events and experiences that we are required to respond to with whatever agency and energy we have in that moment. The decision on whether those events create a negative or a positive impact lies with us.

Arpeggio therefore symbolises that we have an inherent potential to take control of our lives and decide to move forward and ascend through obstacles, becoming healthier and more capable humans.
